How to Factory Reset and Hard Reset Sony Xperia X Performance

Hard Reset / Factory Reset will restore your device to its initial state and will delete all your files. It is advisable to back up your important files before doing the reset process.


Factory Reset:

1. On your Home screen, tap Apps.

2. Go to Settings, and select Backup & reset.

3. Tap on Factory data reset.

4. Then Reset phone.

5. Confirm by tapping Erase everything. You just need to wait while your phone deleting your files and restoring your settings to default.


Hard Reset:

1. Download Flashtool from Sony website: http://developer.sonymobile.com/services/flash-tool/

2. Make sure that the drivers for your USB data cable is properly installed.

3. Now turn your device off.

4. Press and hold Volume Down, and connect to USB cable.

5. Follow the instructions on your screen, and accept appropriate options.


Hard Reset 2:

1. Press and hold the Power Button and Volume Up key. for a few seconds.

2. Once the device will vibrate once, release the power button.

3. Remain holding the volume key down for 10 more seconds.

4. Your phone will vibrate again and then shutdown, indicating that the hard reset procedure is completed.

How to Factory Reset and Hard Reset Sony Xperia Z3+ Dual

Hard Reset / Factory Reset will restore your device to its initial state and will delete all your files. It is advisable to back up your important files before doing the reset process.


Factory Reset:

1. On your Home screen, tap Apps.

2. Go to Settings, and select Backup & reset.

3. Tap on Factory data reset.

4. Then Reset phone.

5. Confirm by tapping Erase everything. You just need to wait while your phone deleting your files and restoring your settings to default.


Hard Reset:



1. Turn OFF your phone. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons.

2. Then press and release the Power button (just keep on holding the volume buttons). There should a menu will appear on your phone. (If it does not work, try to Press and Hold the Power button)

3.  Press the Volume down button to navigate to the Recovery option. Press the Volume Up to select (if that doesn't work, use the Power button to select).

4. An Android logo will appear. Press the Volume Down and Volume Up button together and a recovery menu should appear. Use the Volume buttons to move to the Wipe data/Factory reset option and then press Power to select.

5. Use the Volume Down key to choose Yes and press the Power button again to select.
