How to Extend Battery Life on Blackberry Classic Q20

Battery Life depends on how you use your device. For Blackberry Classic Q20 device, if you want to save your battery to last longer hours, you may need to adjust your settings.

Follow these suggestions:

• Turn on the power-saving option on the device. Then lessen the screen brightness and the screen lock timeout. On the Home Screen, swipe down from the top of the screen. Tap on the Gear Icon or Settings > Display.

• Turn down your device volume with the volume keys. You can also adjust the volume on Settings > System Volume or Notifications.

• Close any apps or features when you are done using it so they will not continuously running in the background.

• Turn off the network connection if you are out of range so that your device will stop searching for a network signal. To turn off the network go to Settings > Network Connections.

• You should use the latest version of the software update. Software updates improves some features and fixes some bugs on the previous software version.

• Save data to a media card instead of your device storage.

• Turn off the camera flash.

How to Print on BlackBerry Classic Q20 Using Print To Go

Now you can easily print on your BlackBerry Classic Q20 using the Print To Go software. This feature will surely minimize your work since you don't have to transfer the file from your BlackBerry Classic Q20 to your computer then print it. Save your time and less hassle with the Print To Go.

First, you need to download the Print To Go software.

1. On your computer go to this page this www.blackberry.com/PrintToGo.

2. Just follow the given instructions on the screen to complete the installation on your computer.

Once the installation process is complete, you can now print a file from your BlackBerry Classic Q20. But you need to configure first your printer. Follow these steps:

1. On your computer, try to print an item/file and choose Print To Go as the printer.
2. You need to enter your BlackBerry ID and your password, then click Sign In.
3. If applicable, enter your pairing password, device PIN, and your device name, then click Next.
4. If you want to print multiple devices, click Add Another Device. Just make sure that it is associatedd with your BlackBerry ID.
5. Click Done.
6. Click on Remember Me if you want to save the settings you just entered.
7. Finally, click Print.


When printing is complete, open Print To Go on your BlackBerry device, then find your pairing password. Your pairing password helps to establish a more secure connection between your computer and your BlackBerry device.

1. Swipe down from the top of the screen.
2. Tap Settings or the Gear Icon.

To reset your pairing password, tap Reset.

If you want to delete a folder or printout from Print To Go:

1. Tap and hold a printout or folder in a few seconds.
2. Then tap the Trash Bin icon.

How to Activate Parental Controls on BlackBerry Classic Q20

By activating the parental controls on your BlackBerry Classic Q20, you can turn off access to certain apps, features, and content.

You can also restrict incoming phone calls and messages to people in the Contacts app.


Parental Controls settings are protected with a password, making them difficult to change or turn off without your knowledge. You can set your device so that the Parental Controls password is required to add an email or social networking account, or to purchase an app from the BlackBerry World storefront.

Note: If BlackBerry Balance technology is turned on, the Parental Controls feature is not available.

How to Factory Reset/Wipe Data on BlackBerry Classic Q20

Resetting your BlackBerry Classic Q20 will restore all the settings back to its original state. That also include deleting your personal files. Before you wipe your BlackBerry device, consider backing up your data on a computer.

A security wipe is designed to permanently delete your data so it can't be recovered. This includes email accounts, downloaded apps, media files, documents, browser bookmarks, and settings.

1. On the home screen, swipe down from the top of the screen.
2. Tap Settings > Security and Privacy > Security Wipe.
3. Type blackberry.
4. Tap Delete Data.

When the security wipe is complete, your device is turned off automatically.

To turn on your device, press the Power/Lock key.

Tip: If you are planning to give away or recycle your device, remember to also remove your SIM card and media card.
