Tablets are now use as remote controls on certain devices. With your Sony Xperia Tablet Z you can switch between two types of remote controls on the remote control screen. Either you can have it as a full remote control or the gesture remote control. With full remote control you can operate remote control functions on your tablet by tapping buttons while the gesture remote control reacts when the tablet device senses movement of your fingers such as tapping and flicking on the touch screen no matter where on the screen you touch without looking at your tablet's screen. Here's how you register the remote control on your Sony Xperia Tablet Z.
1. First tap on the
Apps& Widget

2. Select on
Remote Control
.Then the Remote Control app starts.
3. Tap on
Register device or

4. Then tap on
Easy Registration.
5. Follow the on-screen instructions to register. If you want you can execute
Remote control test to give it a try.
6. When you're done registering, the screen returns to the device list screen on
step 3 and now you can tap the name of registered device to display the remote control screen..
7. To register your tablet as remote control of another device tap on
and then tap
Register device
on the device list screen.
