How to Setup Remote on HTC One/M7

In HTC One you can combine all of your remote controls into one. Now you can switch channels using your phone, adjust audio and all other functionalities of your home theater system remote controls. But before you set up the remote control, you need to set up first the EPG (electronic program guide) on your HTC One and make sure that your device is connected to an internet. Here's how to set up your remote control.

1. First open the TV app.

2. Tapthen select Start.

3. Enter a name for your remote control and tap on Next.

4. Now select the devices you want to control with your remote and tap on Next.

5. Then select the brand of your TV and tap Next.

6. Make sure your TV is off and tap Next.

7. Point your HTC One device towards the TV and tap on the blinking button on the screen.

8. Tap Yes if HTC One was able to turn on your TV. Follow then the onscreen instructions to continue setting up the other devices.

 > If you're TV didn't turn on, tap NO. HTC remote will try another remote control profile. But if it can't find a matching profile, you need to set up your remote control manually.

To add/delete/edit remotes, just tap, then, and select Add a remote (edit/delete).
