How to Screen Mirror Sony Xperia Z to Show the Screen on a TV

|

The Screen Mirroring will allow you to show the screen of your device on a TV or other large display without using a cable connections. It uses the Wi-Fi Direct technology that create a wireless connection between two devices. You can also use this feature to listen to music from your phone via the TV's speakers.

How to mirror the screen of your phone on a TV:

1. First you need to turn on the screen mirroring function on your TV. Just follow the instructions in the User Guide of your TV.

2. From your Home screen, tap on the Menu icon

3. Select on Settings, and tap Xperia™.

4. Choose Screen mirroring.

5. Tap to turn on the Screen mirroring and select a device.

Note: The TV that you want to connect with must support screen mirroring for the above described functionality to work. If it does not support, then you can try the Throw feature. Go to Settings > Throw feature.

So is the Wi-Fi Direct function from XPERIA smartphones only available to stream contents to TV?

What about the same feature on Samsung Galaxy smartphones, is the function be able to transfer files to other gadgets like PC or other smartphones? I just wondering.

Regards
Jon

Hi, i just brought a xperia z 2 days back, ive got some issues with the camera, it aint feeling like a 12 megapixel camera. when i zoom the snapped photos , its not a bit clear , just feels like a 3.2 megapixel.

that might be a manufacturer defect.,try to compare some of the camera with the same megapixel and if has a big difference, then ask for a replacement of your device.,

Is there a device in the market which can play videos over DLNA as well as be a miracast receiver for mirroring android screen? Many miracast devices are there but their specs just say Intel Widi receiver.

this site design is horrible (at least for firefox) just so you know. The side bar of social networking links is in the way of the article except when zoomed right out to the point where it can't be read.
