I dont know if it will work with sony xperia e, but other sony devices used these steps to take screenshot, try it.
1. Press the power and volume down button together and hold it. After a second you can hear a sound. You will see a new notification that make you sure the screen captured.
2. Go to your Album apps from Application or click on the notification.

You can open the device to view folders and files with autoplay option. Or you can go into Computer, and it will be mounted under portable devices. This allows access to the SDcard and phone memory. place any mp3's you want as ringtones into the ringtones folder, and any pics you have taken will be in the DCIM/100Android folder.
