How to Factory Reset Your ZTE Mimosa Mini
We have our own reasons why we factory reset our device. Maybe we want to delete all the files and restore the device to its original state. It could also be the device may be malfunctioning or so slow and it needs to be reset.
Restoring the default settings or factory reset your ZTE Mimosa Mini will delete all your files. It is recommended to backup your important files on your computer before attempting to reset your device.
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Privacy.
- Choose Factory data reset, then tap on Reset phone.
- To confirm the reset tap Erase everything.

Creating a PIN or Password
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Security.
- Choose Set up screen lock, then tap on PIN or Password.
- Just follow the instruction to complete your PIN or password settings.
Unlocking the Screen with Your PIN or Password
- Press Power Key to wake up the phone.
- Follow the on-screen prompts, long press the icon.
- Enter the PIN or password you set.
Disabling Screen Unlock Security
If you have created an unlock pattern, PIN or password, you can also disable it.
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Security.
- Choose Change screen lock, then draw screen unlock pattern or enter your PIN or password you have.
- Then tap None.
Protecting Your Phone with a Pattern
Creating Your Screen Unlock Pattern:
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Security.
- Choose Set up screen lock, then tap on Pattern.
- Just follow the instruction and watch the example pattern and select Next twice (if needed).
- Drag your finger to connect at least four dots, draw the pattern.
- Tap on Continue, and redraw your pattern to confirm.
Unlocking the Screen with Your PIN or Password
- Press Power Key to wake up the phone.
- Draw the pattern you set up to unlock the screen.
Protecting Your SIM Card with a PIN
Each SIM card have its own PIN, so it is better to protect your SIM card with a PIN.
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Security.
- Choose Set up SIM card lock.
- Tick the Lock SIM card check box.
- Then enter the PIN you have been given and tap OK.
Changing Your SIM PIN
You also have an option to change your PIN.
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Security.
- Choose Set up SIM card lock.
- Make sure that you already tick the Lock SIM card check box.
- Then tap on Change SIM PIN.
Installing an Application
You can install an application from the Android Market, simple press on Home Key, tap on Application icon/Menu icon, then go to Play Store.
But you can also install a non-Marketing application if you have allowed the installation of it. Make sure that you select an application developed for your device and processor type before installing it.
1. Copy the application file to the microSD card and install the card on your phone.
2. Press Home key> tap on the Application/Menu icon > File Manager, and open the folder where the application file is.
3. Tap the file to start installation.
4. Read the installation instructions that come with the application and follow it to complete the setup.
NOTE: Please take your handset as the standard.
Removing an Application
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application icon/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Applications.
- Choose Manage Applications.
- Select the application that you want to remove or delete.
- Then tap on Uninstall.
- Tap OK to confirm.
Using the USB tethering & portable hotspot
You can share your phone’s data connection via USB or as a portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
Enabling USB tethering
Reminder: The PC accesses the Internet via the phone’s mobile network. Therefore, set up the networks connection correctly before you try to use the phone as a modem.
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Wireless & Networks.
- Choose Tethering & portable hotspot and tick the USB tethering check box.
- A new network connection will be created on your PC.
Disabling USB tethering
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Wireless & Networks.
- Choose Tethering & portable hotspot and clear the USB tethering check box.
- You can also pull out the USB cable.
Enabling the Wi-Fi Hotspot
You can use the phone as a portable WLAN router, to share your phone’s internet connection with one or more PC or other devices.
NOTE:
• When the portable Wi-Fi hotspot function is enabled, you can’t use your phone’s applications to access the internet via its Wi-Fi connection.
• You can configure the hotspot with the Wi-Fi hotspot settings.
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Wireless & Networks.
- Choose Tethering & portable hotspot and tick the Portable Wi-Fi hotspot check box.
- Tap on Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings, then Configure Wi-Fi hotspot to set up & manage portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
- Then tap on Save.
Your friends will now be able to connect to your WiFi hotspot.
Disabling the Wi-Fi Hotspot
- Press the Home key, and tap on the Application/Menu icon.
- Select Settings, then go to Wireless & Networks.
- Choose Tethering & portable hotspot and clear the Portable Wi-Fi hotspot check box.
