If your Kindle Fire is not recognized by your computer or you will receive an error message by the time you plug in your device, you might be having with the USB port.
You will need to disconnect first your Kindle Fire from your computer and try plugging it back by using a different USB port. If you have a different USB cable, then you can also try it.
If these steps won’t work, please follow these steps:
• You will need to restart your Kindle Fire by pressing the power button for few seconds. There should and option appear, then tap Shut Down button.
• After a few seconds, press the power button to turn on your Kindle Fire.
• Then connect your Kindle Fire to a USB port on the back of your computer.
• Restart your computer with your Kindle Fire connected to it.
If these steps still won’t work, you may need to restart again your Kindle Fire by pressing the power button for 20 seconds and then release. Try to connect again to your computer.
If still not recognized, it is recommended that you contact Kindle Fire support.
