Barnes & Noble cuts prices on NOOK Tablet and NOOK Color

Barnes & Noble cuts the price in their NOOK devices (NOOK Tablet 16GB, NOOK Tablet 8GB and NOOK Color) to better compete the Google Nexus 7.

NOOK Tablet 16GB dropped its price from $249 to $199, so that’s $50 difference. While NOOK Tablet 8GB dropped the price from $199 to $179 with the $20 savings, and also the NOOK Color price from $169 to $149.

   

If I am going to choose with these NOOK devices, I would rather go with the NOOK Tablet 16GB where you can save a lot of NOOK Books/NOOK Apps with more exciting features.

I’m sure that there will be a lot of customers complaining about the dropped price of the NOOK Tablet and NOOK Color. Specially for those customers you just purchased the NOOK Tablet in less than a month. Well, good for those who just bought their NOOK devices in less 14-days because they will have an option to return the device and they can purchase the device again with the discounted price.

When the NOOK Tablet 16GB was released in November 2011, the NOOK Color dropped the price from $249 to $199.

In February 2012, Barnes & Noble released the NOOK Tablet 8GB with affordable price at $199. And dropped the price again on the NOOK Color to $169.

Currently, Barnes & Noble dropped each price with much more affordable prices.
