Apple and Google are definitely on war.
Cupertino giant—Apple is slowly removing Google from its system. They have
excluded Youtube app on its iPhone 5 and so with Google Maps which has been part
of iPhone since it was launched in 2007. And since iPhone 5 has officially been
introduced, latest casualty between these two tech giant war is Apple MAPS.
Technology gadget reviewers have been
criticizing Apple Maps who said that Apple’s version of maps doesn’t provide
directions for public transportation and sometimes it gets confused when
navigating users.

“Apple believes that they can deliver
better experience for customers than Google,” said Sarah Rotman Epps, an
analyst at Forrester Research.
But figures show that customers aren’t
bothered at all with Apple’s weakness. Apple has set another record breaking in
iPhone history and perhaps in smartphone sales. It sold over 2 million pre-orders
of iPhone 5 in just 24 hours after it was launched.
Owners of the older versions of iPhone had
already received an update to Apple’s iOS mobile operating system. Users will
definitely lose the Google Maps app that came with the older version of iOS and
will be replaced with this new Apple Maps app.
But overall tech reviewers would say that
iPhone 5 is an excellent phone. It’s the thinnest and lightest smartphone ever
made. Apple would just need to improve its Map application if it wants to go at
par with its archnemesis google.
