Just a day after iPhone 5 debuted in shelves; notorious iPhone hacker Grant Paul a.k.a chpwn, showed
that iPhone 5 is vulnerable to hackers. Paul posted some photos on Twitter on
his jailbroken iPhone 5. The said photos feature the Cydia App store which
hosts unsanctioned apps.
He tweeted, “Taller
screens like Cydia too. J”. Paul has a credible reputation in the world of jailbreaking. He
co-authored a 2011 hack that enabled Siri on jailbroken iPhones and even runs a
website on list of how-to jailbreak Apple’s iPhone handsets.
He first tweeted
a screenshot of Cydia homepage on his iPhone 5 screen and then posted a
screenshot of an open Cydia app store and another photo of it running in his
iPhone 5 to back up his claim if others might think it was a photoshopped.
Now that was a
pretty early jailbreak on iPhone 5. Do you think iOS 6 has a lot more to
improve other than their confused maps? It’s just day one after iPhone was sold
and one hacker came out victorious. Tim Cook is definitely not too happy with
this.
