On October 4, Acer announced the Iconia W700 tablet PC will be available in the US market. This would be Acer’s first Windows 8-based tablet PC in the US. The W700P is a high-performance mobile PC in a tablet form, features a versatile, portable design that delivers a first-rate touch and typing experience.
Earlier today, Acer announced business editions of its Iconia Windows 8 tablets — Iconia W700P and the Iconia W510P. These new devices will be targeting Europe by bundling them with Windows 8 Pro.
According to Acer’s Press Release, the W700P will be available on October 26 with starting Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price of $799.99. With this suggested price, it would be very difficult for consumers to pick the W700P while the iPad Mini is approaching with the suggested retail price at $299 only.
I can say that the W700P Tablet is for professional users. With the specifications given, its like bringing your own personal computer.
