The “Fifty Shades of Grey” World Invasion Hits the Philippine Shores!

|

There’s no stopping the “Fifty Shades of Grey” fever from affecting just about everyone in the planet today. Recently, the phenomenal, if not controversial novels have caught the attention of the Philippine crowd and even movie stars here are now hooked on the complex love story of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

Currently, millions of fans and followers around the globe are counting months, if not days and all are raving as to when the “Fifty Shades of Grey” will be released on screen. Well, ladies and gentlemen – fret no more, as developments for the film adaptation are now rolling and on the go.

As announced last March of this year, we already know that Universal Pictures and Focus Features both acquired the rights to E L James’ “Fifty Shades of Grey” Trilogy books. And just of July this year, a press release from Universal Pictures and Focus Features announced that alongside James; veteran producers Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti will be producing the first movie “Fifty Shades of Grey”. Information was also announced recently this October 2012 and we learned that Kelly Marcel will be joining the team to write the movie’s screenplay.

As everyone has their own favorite actors to play the roles, we can only hope that they get the said parts. Personally, I am betting for Matt Bomer and Alexis Bledel for the Christian and Ana characters. However, along with all the millions out there – I leave the decision to the experts on the “Fifty Shades of Grey” team. All these developments surely add to the thrill and anticipation of waiting for the said movie premiere. And with all the ongoing plans, we know the film will be on the big screen “sooners rather than laters”.

FYI to all the millions of fans and followers, the “Fifty Shades of Grey” trilogy books in the United States alone, has sold more than 32 million copies in print and electronic formats and it has been translated in over 45 languages around the globe. At the moment, it’s still topping the New York Times’ Bestsellers list.

To get the taste of the story, you may order the “Fifty Shades of Grey” novels in print or download it online from reseller giants like: Barnes & Noble and Amazon. Just visit B&N or Amazon for details. Subsequently, Fifty Shades of Grey – The Classical Album is now being released from EMI Classics. Please visit GreatestClassical to check out and order the 15 tracks of classical music featured on the trilogy books.

In the meantime, as we wait for the movie, let us content ourselves in reading and re-reading the novels and once more, be “completely and utterly” hooked to the world and the characters that only E L James (the author) has brought to life.
