Samsung S3
handsets will finally get to taste Google’s newest Android OS – the Jelly Bean.
After its successful opening roll out in Poland and a few days after the unveiling of the mini version of S3 in Germany, UK Samsung S3 users can update
to Jelly Bean within weeks no matter what network they’re in. UK network Three
took to Twitter to announce the good news, tweeting “#ThreeSoftwareUpdate Jelly
Bean has arrived for #GalaxySIII users.”
Korean tech giant
Samsung released a statement on Thursday to confirm the said news, saying “Samsung
UK can confirm that the rollout of Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) has begun for our
Galaxy S III customers and will be available across all networks over the
coming weeks, pending software testing and approvals.”
To check if the
update is already on your S3 mobile devices, just go to “Settings”, then “About
Device” and “Software Update”. You might want to try these steps few days from
now as it may take some time for the updates to be filtered on your handsets. Perhaps
you won’t need to take out your USB cable for this update as this appears to be
doable over the air. Enjoy the Jelly Bean!
