Free Voice Calls on Facebook for iOS Users

Are you budget conscious? Do you always monitor your voice minutes? Wish you could call without using up minutes from your data plan? Then maybe it's time for you to upgrade your smartphone's Facebook app. Facebook Inc. has just recently released an upgrade to their software called the Facebook 5.5 for iOS.

You can now call your friends for free using this updated version of Facebook app. However, the catch is this is only available for US and Canada. Users need to be connected to a Wi-Fi or 3G/4G connection to open and use this app. Otherwise, you need to pull out your phone and use your data plan minutes.

Facebook has not rolled out yet this updated version to Android platform. This app is fully optimized for iPhone 5 but still compatible with iPad, iPod touch.
