How to Factory Reset iPad Mini

|

Apple's iPad Mini isn't a mini device after all. It is instead jampacked with cool features behind its deceiving size. But like any other devices, it also gets into trouble. If you opt to start from scratch and rebuild your iPad mini experience then you might as well perform the factory reset. Or if you wish to buy a new one (another Apple device perhaps), do a factory reset first to erase all your files before handing it down to its future owner. Make sure to back up important files before doing these steps. Here's how you can perform a factory reset on your iPad mini.

1. Go to Settings menu first.

2. Then go to General tab.

3. Scroll down to the bottom part and tap on Reset.

4. And select on Erase All Content and Settings. You will be asked then if you want to continue. Confirm that you wish to proceed and your iPad mini will reset with an Apple logo on the screen and a loading bar.

Here's another way though to perform factory reset using iTunes.

1. Connect your iPad mini on your desktop using the cable provided.

2. Open  your iTunes app.

3. Then locate your iPad mini under Devices on the left panel.

4.  And click on Restore under the Version section.

5.  You'll have to wait for the firmware to be downloaded, if its your first time to perform this, before it'll ask if you wish to continue. Confirm to proceed.

Your iPad mini will start up after the process and you'll have a clean iPad mini.
