How to Jailbreak iOS 6 Devices (including iPhone 5)

|

The jailbreak method has been released and this would be the first jailbreak to your iPhone 5. This is compatible with all iPhones, iPod touch, iPad and iPad mini models running iOS 6.0 through 6.1. This new tool is called evasi0n, and it is very simple to use. Just a few clicks after the download and your device will already be jailbreak.

Be advised that things might go wrong while jailbreaking your device since Apple never intended this stuff to happen. You should be responsible to troubleshoot any issues you run into, including completely restoring your device through DFU mode.

How to jailbreak your device? Let's start with backing up your important files on your device through iTunes or iCloud. Make sure that you have disable your passcode. It is recommended for the evasi0n team to avoid any issues.

Download the evasi0n on your computer. There are several versions for Windows, Linus, and Mac.

• Then run the program on your computer. For OS X users, you may have to bypass the Gatekeeper feature in OS X 10.8 by right-clicking the app icon and selecting "Open."

• Now connect your device (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad or iPad Mini) on your computer.

• Click the "Jailbreak" button on the program. During the process, your device will light-up and will do random things. Just leave your device for the next instruction in the app window.

• Next you should be asked to unlock your device and tap on the evasi0n icon once.

• You should received a notification when the jailbreak is finished. Then your device will reboot a few time when the process finishes.

You will also know when it is finished updating when you see your lock screen and wallpaper. You should then have a Cydia icon on your home screen. That will confirm that you have successfully jailbreak your device.

Evasi0n also states that it is safe to reboot your device or the app if you run any issues. Then you may start the process again.
